Little Love Note Challenge Finale

Oh my gosh!!

This was just such a great thing for our marriage!!

This little challenge of writing him love notes and sticking them all over was fun and it meaningful.

The kids got into helping me with it, my little ones see how much I love their daddy, he got affirmations constantly for even the littlest of things!!

It was just a win, win thing to do!!

Here are some of my final love notes that I fit into his lunch before I took him out for the evening.

034 035

I have no idea how I did this, but I got a big box of candy stuffed into the top of his box too!!036

Then when he came home I had this out on the dresser.040We had to hurry because he had tons of traffic that day and got home later than usual.

We dressed up nice and met some of our friends for a night of fun.

Here is the silly picture we took to remember the day.

028The banquet hall was decorated with twinkling lights everywhere!!

Romantic!!

006Sorry, I tried to get a picture of the comic who was performing…way to many lights up there.

The food was good… I had chicken and my husband got steak.

I forgot to take a picture of it though.

Bummer.

The desert was insane!!

That I did get a picture of.

007Yes, it tasted even  better than it looks!!

It was such a great evening!

We hung out with friends, ate good food, had comedy, a little bit of worship and a beautiful message on marriage by Pastor George.

Perfect way to end?

Nope :)

We got a coupon from Rebecca for a buy one get one free coffee from Starbucks!

So since they were only good that day…

021…our date night continued with some late night chit chat in the car.

Just like when we had no little munchkins.

Side note: we were the only couple all day that used this coupon correctly at our local Starbucks. One coupon meant you got $1 off one drink. 2 coupons meant, buy one drink get one free. I had 2 coupons!! Whoo hoo for me!!

Free Mocha latte with extra whipped cream for me please!!

We got home late.

We were so tired.

It was such a wonderful way to end 14 days of letting my wonderful husband know just how much he means to my heart.

I love you husband.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

English Standard Version (ESV)

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! 11 Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? 12 And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Here is my prayer for you.

Lord,

Thank you for this man.

He is good. He is strong. He is exactly who I need him to be. He loves you God. He includes You in our marriage. It is true that 3 cords are so much stronger than one or two. To make our marriage work in this world, we can only do it with  You. We need each other and we need You. We need Your guidance, Your mercy, Your strength, Your wisdom, Your grace, Your compassion, we need You to complete our union. Make our marriage into what You need it to be Lord. May I continue to honor him and treat him with the love and respect he deserves. May I put his needs before my own Lord God and honor You as I do. May I be the Proverbs 31 wife he deserves. May we together use our marriage to glorify You and may others know Your goodness and mercy through us. Lord, please continue to do wonderful works within my husband. May he continue to grow and be the man You have created him to be. He is a miraculously wonderful creation of Yours. I am honored to be a part of his life. He is what made my heart start to blossom and grow. For this blessing, I thank You Lord with my whole soul.

I love  you Lord.

In your name I humbly offer up this prayer.

Amen.

Little Love Notes~ Day 12

I have posted so many notes now!!

The post-it note company must love me!!

Her are the notes from his lunch.

007 009It is getting harder to be corny.

I did have some cute little ones to share from around the house.

014 015 016 019 020Had to change it up a little with the window marker instead.

Can’t have it be to boring for my husband!!

Here is the prayer I have for him.

Heavenly Father,

May my husband always look to You first. May he have strong faith in the plan You have for him. That his path will be made clear and he will not stray. Lord God, may he find peace in trusting in Your direction instead of his own. Keep my handsome man in the Jesus bubble. Keep him safe.

Thank you Lord.

In Your name I humbly pray,

Amen.

Today I was inspired by one of my favorite verses,

Jeremiah 29:11

New Living Translation (NLT)

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

We are getting to the end of the challenge.

Let’s end it with SPARKLE!!

Have a blessed day friend!!

Little Love Notes Challenge Day 8 & Day 9

Spent the day with my honey yesterday, so I had no time for blogging.

That means that today I have twice as much to blog about with the little love notes that I left for him!

Whoo hoo!!

Here is where I began on day 8.

Here is what I put in his lunch box.

005 006 007He had a very sweet lunch!!

Then some of the little notes I left all around were these.

002 003 009He had already stuck them to his mirror collection before I got to take a picture of them.

I must say that he really does understand my love of Starbuck’s Peppermint Mocha’s.  Oh I melt for those!!!

Then yesterday, he was home with me and I got to share a few more love notes with him and see his reactions. That was kind of nice too!!

Here are some of his notes.

001What started out as a great idea, a asian pear drink, was terrible.

That stuff tastes like vinegar.

Then the drink was not even clear. Its gold.

Nix that one next time.

The donuts were good though. The kiddos polished those bad boys off for daddy no problem!!

Lunch came around, I gave him these to go with his sandwich.

002Originally I was going for a hunger games idea.  Something like “you are the Pita to my Katniss”, but since he is not a fan of the movie nor did he want to read the books, I figured that this was the better approach to the love note he might appreciate.

It was really nice getting to spend the day with him.

I knew we would spend some time in devotions together,

so I left him a few little kisses.

001Then a message when he got out of the shower.

011Then friends dropped by with their little ones.

It was really nice.

Great day, but I forgot to finish the rest of my love notes I had for him.

That is okay.

He can be blessed with them day 10!!

Here is what I pray for him today.

Dear Lord,

My husband is such a good man. He is a man with a giving heart. He has such integrity. I love that he seeks Your wisdom in all that he does. He consumes the Word of God daily and lives in accordance to Your plan for his life. I pray that he will continue to lead our marriage in a way that will glorify You. Please continue to teach me to be the good wife he deserves.  As I serve my husband, I am serving You.  Please keep my husband in Your loving hands. He is precious to me.

I love you God.

Amen.

I was inspired by this verse:

Proverbs 11:3 NKJV

The integrity of the upright will guide them,
But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.

and this one:

Ephesians 5:22-23 NKJV

Wives, submit to your own husbands,

as to the Lord.

23 For the husband is head of the wife,

as also Christ is head of the church;

and He is the Savior of the body.

:)

Hope your weekend Love Notes were spectacular!!

Have a blessed day friends!!

Little Love Notes~ Day 7

My husband is so adorable!!

He is saving all the little notes from his lunch in one spot and all the others on the bedroom mirror!!

004

I love him!!

I did give him more notes to  add to his now growing collection!!

Here are some of them.

His morning coffee…

035It was kinda hard to read the Bible together without smiling after that one!

We got through it though!!

Then in his lunch I put…

033little gummy hearts.

I thought that he would bring some home to share with the kiddos.

Nope!

My cup over flowed for him only!!

Ha ha ha!!

I also did just a simple one.

036 He had a really hectic day.

Sadly he got home before I did.

The traffic was crazy bad.

I hate when he has a hard day and I am not home with dinner ready, or at least on it’s way to be ready, for him when he gets there.

I did come home with pizza.  Little Caesars to the rescue again!!

I am glad I had stopped earlier and got him a silly gift.

010Yes he is!!

Walgreen’s also gets my thanks for having that bag with matching boxers available when I just stop in to quickly grab some paper towels and napkins!

It was perfect!

Just the right amount of snickering when he walked in and saw the bag sitting on the bed.

At least I was able to make the day end with less stress.

:)

Today this is my prayer for him.

Lord, You have blessed me with such a good man. He works so hard for this family. He always does his job 110%, actually every thing he does he does with excellence.  Lord I know because of this often he gets used by others at work. They feel that they can slack off and then expect that my husband will be there to clean up what ever they did not want to do or what they have done incorrectly and sloppy. Then those same people reap the benefit of my husbands hands.  Please Lord, may he be recognized for the work that he does. May he be the one who is known for his ability to complete a task and to do it with skill and precision. I know that no matter what, You have seen his accomplishments. You have seen how hard and true he works. May he feel blessed by the knowledge that he is doing his best and in doing so he is glorifying You.

Philippians 1:9-10

New King James Version (NKJV)

And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, 10 that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ,

Spoil someone you love this weekend with joy!!

Keep them covered in prayer for happiness!!

Have a blessed weekend friend!!

Little Love Notes Challenge~ Day 5

Yesterday was so crazy busy!!

AGAIN!!!

I only see my approaching Friday as being even more intensely busy!!

I am going to have to start being very creative on the quick!!

Here are some of the little notes I left for my husband yesterday!!

In his lunch box…

525 526Yes I did another banana joke.

I think they are funny!!

Remember I was busy,

so I only have a few more

“cheesy”

little notes to share.

The first one is on the dresser  and the second…

523 524…yeah it is kind of self explanatory :)

Here was my prayer for my husband.

Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.  2 Cor 1:21 – 22

Lord, You have anointed my husband and put your seal of ownership on him. You have filled him with the Holy Spirit and are continually watching him grow into the man You created him to be. The husband that You have created to love me and be my partner in life. I thank you so much for that. Thank you for helping us to stand firm in our faith in Christ Jesus, our marriage, our family and our life. I praise you Lord!

If you have any great bible verses I can pray for my husband I would love to be inspired!!

Have the most blessed day friend!!

((hugs))

Little Love Notes Challenge~ Day 4

So now my husband knows what I am up to.

He has all these sticky notes with little “I love you’s” on them.

He even said ” I know you love me.”

“I know” I replied. ” I am doing it anyway because you deserve this.”

That being said, here is day 4.

002and…

003…and…

004 006…then in the bathroom…

007

My favorite one though I put in his lunch.

Here it is.

photo_1 photo_2

Had to get the cheesey in there!!

Here is my prayer for  him today.

(from revive our hearts)

Pray that my husband will always grow in God-centered leadership skills in our relationship

protecting and providing for us.

Pray that he will lead me wisely and love me sacrificially,

so that God will be glorified in our marriage.

Ephesians 5:25–29

25 gHusbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and hgave himself up for her, 26 that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by ithe washing of water jwith the word, 27 so kthat he might present the church to himself in splendor, lwithout spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.1 28 In the same way mhusbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church,

Colossians 3:19

19 Husbands, love your wives, and wdo not be harsh with them.

Are you having fun doing this challenge?

Is your husband feeling blessed?

This is going to be a special memory for both of us!!

Have a blessed day!!

Little Love Note Challenge ~ day 2

Okay, day 2 was a little difficult.

It was such a busy day!

Get up early. Jr had mandatory yearly inspection for sea cadets. We went to church. Jr forgot his BDU hat, we ran that up to him. Made brunch for the rest of the family. Cleaned up and then ran back out to pick Jr up before the Superbowl. Watched Superbowl…don’t even know how to comment on that sad game…and made dinner. Then fizzled out and turned into a lump on the couch.

I did however, find ways to leave a couple  little love notes anyway.

Just not as many as I had hoped.

Minor set back.

On the bathroom mirror, I left this for him.

004He is too!!

I tried to find little fun times to leave him notes between church and Superbowl…just failed at that.

I did get another little funny one in though when I served him his dinner.

What do you think?

007“Beans” there for me…

ha ha ha!!!

I got a “very cute dear” with a snicker from the husband and a “no you didn’t” from Aimee, with a snicker as well.

So it was at the very least, a silly love note to end the day.

Here is the prayer I chose to pray for him.

That the Lord would bless his work

{Proverbs 22:29}

Do you see someone skilled in their work?
    They will serve before kings;
they will not serve before officials of low rank.

My husband is so skilled too!!

I love the thoughts in my heart, of him serving before the Lord.

:)

I am off to start day 3 of my “Little Love Note Challenge”!

Hope your day is blessed friend!!
