Little Love Note Challenge~ Day 11

This is going so fast!!

Just a few days left to smother my husband in little love notes!!

The cutest thing happened last night. My littlest daughter saw me prepping a little love note for my husband and she said “Mommy, you really love daddy don’t you?”

“Yes, I do. I am glad you noticed that. That is a very good observation.” I replied.

She smiled.

Then she went to the table with her markers and her papers. She proceeded to sit there and make him about 10 love notes from her to him. She folded each one up and put them in his lunch box with the few I had put in there. She turned around and smiled at me again. “I love daddy too” she simply said. Then she headed off to bed.

How precious is that?

Here my goal was to shower my husband with love, and in addition I unexpectedly am showing my munchkins how much I love him too. It has been really cute to see the older ones find things and say “Mom, you should try this” or “Mom, this would be perfect!” I love that they want to help. I so hope this will travel over into their marriages when they get older.

On to what I did do for my husband for day 11. Here are a few of his notes.

035 036Then here is my favorite one that I left out for his dinner.

043Had to get Duck Dynasty in there some where!!

Ha ha ha!!

Here is my prayer for my husband today.

Lord,

I pray that my most wonderful husband will always be a reflection of Your love to our children. Help him to raise our children with God inspired discipline. May he teach them to grow to be great women and a man of God, with  great affection for You, Lord.  May our children see in him the light, of Your great love, in all he does.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen

I was inspired by this bible verse.

Ephesians 6:4

The Message (MSG)

Fathers, don’t exasperate your children by coming down hard on them. Take them by the hand and lead them in the way of the Master.

Have you inspired others with your love note challenge too?

I bet you have!!

Only 3 days left!! Lets make them great!!!

Have a blessed day friend!!

Little Love Notes Challenge~ Day 6

Okay… what have I got to share with you…hhmmmm?

I left a few notes scattered in the bedroom for when my handsome man woke up.

Little smiles to start his day.

Then for his lunch he has…

025…and he is!!

Then I got all crafty.

I had this idea that I really wanted to try for him.

I started with some printed “kisses”.

026I cut them into like a confetti.

027I took them into the bathroom.

You see where I am going with this?

I covered the shower with little love notes.

032I “showered” him with kisses.

:)

Here is my prayer for him today.

Lord, my husband has such a physical job. I pray that you bless him with the strength he needs to get the job done. That his hands will find so much joy in actions they will be performing today. May he remember how blessed he is to have such a gift from you , to have this skill that he uses to support me and his children. It is the same skill  Jesus used when He was here on earth. It is a good skill. He will  look to You through out his day, as the leader of his life. I pray that he will have the mind of Christ, have the Holy Spirit guide him and shield him from the world that is so prevalent in his place of work. Keep your hands around him Lord. May Your light shine bright within him.

In Your Holy Name I pray.

Amen.

These are some of the bible verses that inspired me to pray this for him.

Ecclesiastes 5:19

New International Version (NIV)

19 Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions,

and the ability to enjoy them,

to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God.

***

Ecclesiastes 3:13

New International Version (NIV)

13 That each of them may eat and drink,

and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God.

**

I am so blessed to have a husband who has a job.

I am so thankful that he has this amazing skill.

It is a true blessing.

**

I must go and start my preparations for day 7!!

I know you have a good idea in your fantastic brain to spoil someone with!!

Go for it!!

The snickers they give are so priceless and worth it!!

Have a blessed day friend!!

Little Love Notes Challenge~ Day 4

So now my husband knows what I am up to.

He has all these sticky notes with little “I love you’s” on them.

He even said ” I know you love me.”

“I know” I replied. ” I am doing it anyway because you deserve this.”

That being said, here is day 4.

002and…

003…and…

004 006…then in the bathroom…

007

My favorite one though I put in his lunch.

Here it is.

Had to get the cheesey in there!!

Here is my prayer for  him today.

(from revive our hearts)

Pray that my husband will always grow in God-centered leadership skills in our relationship

protecting and providing for us.

Pray that he will lead me wisely and love me sacrificially,

so that God will be glorified in our marriage.

Ephesians 5:25–29

25 gHusbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and hgave himself up for her, 26 that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by ithe washing of water jwith the word, 27 so kthat he might present the church to himself in splendor, lwithout spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.1 28 In the same way mhusbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church,

Colossians 3:19

19 Husbands, love your wives, and wdo not be harsh with them.

Are you having fun doing this challenge?

Is your husband feeling blessed?

This is going to be a special memory for both of us!!

Have a blessed day!!

My Challenge

I love my husband.

He is my blessing from God.

He is a gift that I can hardly believe is mine and is more, much more than I feel I deserve.

My husband is a good, patient and loving man.

He is so much more than I deserve.

God is so good.

Since I am so blessed, I am going to challenge myself this year.

The Lord knows that I think Valentine’s Day is ridiculous.

That being said, my handsome man kinda gets jipped on February 14th.

I am going to remedy that this year!!

Here is my challenge:

I am going to give my husband 14 days of crazy over the top amounts of  little silly love notes, cards with things that I love about him written inside, pictures (maybe hand drawn) of things I want for us to get to do together, that kind of thing and then end the whole chi-bang with dinner out! We will be with friends, see a comedy show and have a wonderful dinner.

That being said, I have a few ideas of things I will be doing.

I will be posting them also to keep me honest and focused.

So…what do you think?

I think every good husband deserves this.

Not because it is Valentines Day am I doing this. It just happens to be February tomorrow and this has been on my mind to do this for him for a while. Why not serve my husband a little extra for a few weeks?  He is worth every little extra thing I can do for him.

Do the challenge with me!!

You know you want to!!

Honor someone, your husband, your sister, your Aunt, your best friend! Just put your mind to it and flood them with joy that they give to you every day!!

You don’t have to post like I am.

Just do it!

We have till tomorrow to come  up with our first great idea….

This is going to be

FANTASTIC!!!

114She said it was her best birthday ever!

I love my little 6 year old!!

Welcome to 9th Grade!

Oh my goodness!

He is that old already.

Yes my son was at a “Welcome to 9th Grade” pool party.

We are so blessed to be part of a great Private Satellite Program for our homeschool experience.

Who says homeschool kids have no social life and we keep them in a box?

Look at all these beautiful children, I mean cool looking 9th graders.

026These are just the kids that could make the party too.

Look at the beautiful cake the leaving Seniors got for the kids.

There was food, volleyball and naturally the pool all just to welcome these 13 and 14 year olds into the new and scarey world of High School.

The old ASB president was so sweet making sure she spoke to each kid personally, asking if they had any worries or questions about High School. She was amazing!!

It was a great event, great kids, this is going to be a great 4 years!!
