Morning Friend!!

Oh my goodness!! We have a bit to catch up on!! Hurry and grab your mug while the coffee is still hot in the pot and settle on down here with me so we can have a little fellowship time before my whole house wakes up! You picked a good day to stop by!!

Today is: Friday April 24, 2020

Outside is: getting stinking hot!! Really this weather is wack. Just 2 days ago we had light rain falling from the sky, the fireplace roaring snuggled up on the couch doing our homeschool lessons with potato cheese soup on the stove. Today its going to be 92 and the thought of hot soup for dinner is just not a good idea. Positive side, my plants are thriving!!

In the oven for dinner: I have leftover chicken from last night. It is a Montreal mango chicken that is going to be really good on a bed of lettuce with bell peppers and avocado. I may even run out and pick up some Hawaiian bread to have with it!! Oh my word, dinner is going to be delicious!!

What I have been thinking about: I am really wanting to get myself back into gardening.  I had to stop for a while when the littles hit high school because we were it seemed like everywhere all the time. Whoever said that homeschoolers are sheltered and had no social lives was INSANELY MISINFORMED!! Sweet corn and carrots are they not!! My kids had events, service projects, dances, classes…we were ALWAYS RUNNING SOMEWHERE!! I just really feel in my heart the want to just slow down a little and get my hands dirty helping things to grow. I want to feel the joy of seeing my little seedlings popping through the earth. I want to drop bits of water over the little plants as they begin to bring forth fruit or veggies knowing how delicious they are going to taste. I have found some videos on Amazon Prime that have reinforced this feeling. Is it just me or have you been feeling a need to get back to maybe things you have done in the past? Honestly. Curious if it is just me or is it going to be something many people are going to embrace.

The project I am working on: I am so excited about the project I am working on!! You know how I said I want to get back into gardening? I don’t have a ton of space anymore in my backyard but I have enough to have a little garden and I am going to use it!! My husband is so sweet he just finished making me a raised bed to start my taco garden in!

Mood today: I am excited! I am really happy to watch all my little seeds grow and hopefully feed my family.  The rest of the world may be in chaos but I am finding structure and joy in the little things that are consistent in my life.

What I am reading: I am actually still reading The Ezekiel Generation by Grant Berry. It is an eye opener. I love how I am now seeing how the Bible has even another layer written into it that I would never have seen. It is from the Jewish perspective and it has opened a part of my heart for them. They are such a special people and God loves them so much. It is an honor to be able to understand how powerful His love is for them and what my role is to bring them Jesus. I have not finished it yet but I already highly recommend it to any Christian who wants to grow their faith.

School stuff: Oh Mylanta, the end of the year pull to get things finished is hitting. Belle is not happy as to how much stuff I am starting to really expect done well from her.  Her besties are already getting ready for high school work and I am expecting the same level of work from her. We are still having fun because I believe you should have fun learning. So we have had creative time, actually all of us, making chalk paintings, sending letters of hope and joy, baking cookies to share…we may not be able to serve at church in the same manner, but we are the church and we will find new ways to serve. It is encouraging to see how they find ways to help.  We started reading The Diary of Anne Frank this week too. Those Christians found incredible ways to serve, ways that had every possibility of ending their lives if discovered. We finished The Hiding Place earlier so this just amplified her understanding of the danger people sometimes have to put themselves in to do the right thing. It can be scary and God does not call everyone to do the dangerous, but we can all do something.

Picture to share:

One of my favorite nephews got married this week!! I am so happy for them!! Look at the joy they are just bursting with!! Been sending up tons of prayers of blessings for these to crazy kids!! Love seeing when couples are still getting married during all this insane quarantine business. To me this means that it really is about getting married, not all the hoopla that can go along with it. It really is because they love each other and want to spend forever as a married couple.

Oh golly. We have been chit chatting for longer than I thought!! Wish we had more time.  Praying the Lord will continue to bless you and keep you from harm and illness.  Stay safe and find joy in today my friend. We will talk again soon.

Good Morning Friend!

Today is: Tuesday April 24

Outside is: a bit overcast but has the potential to get warm later.

I can smell: garlic, onions and chicken…

In the oven for dinner: I have some chicken bone broth in the crock pot right now…It has been bubbling all night long! It smell so good!! So I will probably have some kind of chicken soup for dinner!!

Thinking about: Belle is in testing this week. That means my mind is in overdrive praying that she will test well this year. I know she has tons of knowledge in her cute little brain. Sadly, she tests just like her momma. Ask her a question and she will draw a blank every time its on a test. Now if you ask her during a conversation around the dinner table…she will have the answer plus a “PUNNY” comeback!!

Project I am working on: actually I just finished cleaning up some old pot stands that we acquired from some of our older neighbors. She had made them back in the day and then as she got older they got lost in her back garden. They were covered in cobwebs and rust but had tons of potential!! I sanded the rust off. Wiped off all the spiders and webs then my husband spray painted them for me. Oh my goodness are they not so uber cute now!! So retro!! Very late 60’s early 70’s looking and fabulous!! I will have to take a picture and show you!!

Mood today: very pensive. The bombing that happened in Sri Lanka the other day really bothered me. How people can be so evil, kill random strangers for what? I cannot fathom this demonic thinking. I feel such sorrow for the families who are without their loved ones today for no reason other than they went to work or church. It hurts my soul.

What I am reading: I am reading The Hunchback of Notre Dame with Belle right now. Really sad that it caught on fire as we are reading about it. I personally have been reading Hope in the Dark by Craig Groeschel. It is exactly what I needed to be reading. It is exactly what the title promises, hope in the dark. I will say more when I finish it, but so far I do really recommend it.

School Stuff: Lets see…We are learning about the Tang Dynasty right now. Actually all the dynasties are pretty interesting no matter how many times I study them with the kids. We have been adding the geography into our history and really trying to understand the topography of ancient Asia. I already mentioned the literature we are going through. Hunchback is not Belle’s favorite. She liked Jungle book so much more! We are also going through Beauty By The Book by Laurie Cole. It is her first “big girl” bible study and she is really doing well!! She is also taking an apologetics course that she is really excelling at!! Then we still cover all the basics like math, grammar and science. Rebecca is just trying to finish early! She is so ready to graduate!! Just 5 more weeks and she is done!! Oh mercy!! I will have graduated the oldest 3 and only have one left!! Kinda sad, but kinda excited to really focus just on Belle for her last 6 years of school :)

Picture to share: it should be of the plant pot stands I just redid but Blu looked so cute all cuddled up next to me, I am sharing a picture of him instead.

I love this cat

Have a blessed week my friend :)

Morning Friend!

I have my cup of coffee in hand.

I know it has been a while and we have a bit to catch up on!

Good-Morning-Coffee-PinkToday is: Wednesday December 30…New year’s Adam is today.

Outside is: BRRRRRR!!! If you are a Southern California girl like me, waking up to 35 degrees as you open the door for your husband to head off to work and your house is 59….this is cold!!!

I can smell:My coffee and the cinnamon smell of Thieves in my diffuser.

In the oven for dinner: We are having what I call Country Bake. I chop up veggies (in big bite size cuts) like potato, zucchini, onion, carrot, bell pepper and yellow squash. I put them in a large Pyrex and drizzle them with olive oil. Then crush some garlic cloves, usually 3 because I like garlic, and sprinkle with salt, pepper and paprika. Then I take my hands and just massage it all together. Cover the dish with foil and put it in the oven for an hour at 350. Your house smells delicious and dinner is too!! Best part about this recipe is that I can prep it early in the day and then cook it when I am ready. Kind of like a crock pot but it warms my house too!!

What I have been thinking about: Our world had this ridiculous fascination with youth. What happened to the beauty of growing older? My grandmother was beautiful. She had her hair done every week and did herself up for my grandfather every day. My great grandmother was beautiful. She was little and tough. She had lived through the depression and raised 5 children all by herself. My great aunt was beautiful. She was a single divorced mother before it was the norm. These women lived. They did not have facelifts and botox injections. They wore their wisdom. They were beautiful women with wrinkles and gray hair. When I think of a Titus woman, I never picture a woman of 20 or 30. I picture a woman of age. A woman who has lived and has insight into living a better life, either by learning from their mistakes or showing me how the right ones can be harder but the choice I need to make. God wants us to grow into Titus women, gray haired, wrinkled and wise.

The project I am working on: trying in the cold to restart some cuttings from a friend’s succulent plants. I would love to have more of them in my little yard…so far they are doing okay in the pots…but I do not have a green thumb. Let’s hope this is a project I will excel at.

Mood today: I am full of emotions. This past month has been a whirlwind of life changing moments. I have seen God perform a miracle. I have seen the enemy try and destroy it. I have seen a friend’s husband suddenly get his invitation to live with Jesus. I have seen this family take their sorrow to The Lord and praise Him for all the time they did have with this man and for not letting him die suffering. Through all their pain they praised The King continuously.  I have been blessed with a gift from a stranger that has touched my heart so deeply. I have no words for this gift. It was tremendous and I am unworthy. I was privileged to take gifts to a beautiful family who have a ministry for foster children. Little things that were needed to get a safe in between home for these little fosters babies were collected and I was so blessed to get to drop them off. Clothes, diapers, wipes, food, pacifiers, bottles, blankets and a whole tub of brand new shirts from TT& Twins were donated to make sure these little know how loved they are by people who do not even know them. So many more Spirit filled situations I have been blessed to see come to fruit. My cup is full. I am humbled by all the Lord has shown me and let me part of these last few weeks. It is more than I could ever have learned from books and more cherished a lesson than I can say.

What I am reading: God’s Pursuit of Man by A W Tozer.  It is awesome. It is asking if you are truly saved. Have you been conquered by God? Has the Holy Spirit filled you so completely that you are not yourself anymore? It is a small book but if you are reading to have it change you, it will take you a while to get all the way through it.  You can find it at my favorite book site Thriftbooks by clicking here.

School Stuff: Belle is memorizing her times tables right now. A friend showed us  some cute songs on YouTube that make it more fun.  Becca is way ahead in her algebra!! Michael…well he hates math but is persevering through. We are getting deep into our bible studies and focusing on reading and grammar. Nothing fun in Science or Languages right now…after the first I have a few fun ideas!!

Picture to share: My favorite mini in one of her TT&Twins vintage shirts!!phoneables 020

Just hanging out after MOPS with her momma looking cute!!

Love it!!

Have a blessed day my friends!!

Morning Friend!

Good-Morning-Coffee-PinkToday is: Thursday, September 17, 2015

Going to make this a quick post today, got tons to get started on!! Whoo hoo!

Outside is: Just a little bit of light blue creeping up over the horizon with speckles of white fluffy clouds lingering in the sky.

I can smell:My diffuser is puffing out mists of Thieves essential oil, so I have a bit of a cinnamon scent here in my room.

In the oven for dinner: We are having tacos!! I love tacos!! I am using left over chicken and then I am making some fish tonight to have some delicious homemade tacos with pico de gallo, white beans for a side and as an appetizer guacamole and homemade chips!

What I have been thinking about: I just got my new MOPS table the other day. God is so amazing. We did a random draw to figure out which girls would go to which table. Our table is so perfect for each other!! Really, these girls are all grouped together by God. It is amazing to see how as they get to know each other a little bit, that you can see how they have been lined up to help each other already. I am just so blessed to be able to be there and witness the greatness of God  at work in these girls!! I pray that I will be the mentor that they need and the Lord will bless me with the wisdom that each of these precious young momma are looking for. May the Lord make me the Titus woman that I need to be this year.

The project I am working on: I am going to start making some baby items for a friend who is having her precious little girl next month! I have the fabric and the ideas, now I just have to get in there and sew them together!! Babies are such a blessing I am so excited!! Oh, I forgot, one of the girls from my old MOPS table is pregnant and I need to make her a gift too!!

Mood today: I am just craving Jesus today! As I am typing I have a sermon playing in the background.  I have heard it a few times now. Very insightful. I just love hearing about Jesus in praise or in the Word.

What I am reading: I have been re-reading my Healing Oils of The Bible because I am conducting a class on them next month and I want to have all the information fresh in my mind. It is really beautiful to read about annointings and the importance of the essential oils the Lord provided for us. I suppose that means I am reading for fun not just to gather back up information in my forgetful brain. Ha ha ha!!

School Stuff: One thing we have been studying is the indoctrination’s happening in the great land of the United States. Really getting into studying some of the new laws the state is trying to pass too. I am sorry, but really? I think having boys and girls use the same bathroom, changing rooms and showers is way to Sodom and Gomorrah for me! You can go to to read more about this if you are interested. Ugh it makes me sick all these evil laws they are trying to sneak into our state by our governor with his own agenda.

We have done basic studies too, biology, algebra, literature, bible, etc… I think history and bible are my girls favorites this year :)

Picture to share: My new MOPS mug :)

Morning Friend!

Good-Morning-Coffee-PinkToday is: Wednesday August 26

Outside is: Cloudy, muggy and there is no air movement. Ugh. Nasty weather!

I can smell:My delicious coffee!! It wakes me up and puts me in a better mood!!

In the oven for dinner: I have chicken on the menu for dinner tonight, chicken and salad. I am not loving the idea of turning on the oven for the chicken later…maybe I will have to bbq it!!

What I have been thinking about: Repeal SB277. I think it is a stupid law that the even more stupid Jerry Brown passed ON HIS OWN. I think it is just another step in the direction of socialism that I also do not support. I am my child’s parent not the government. I am the one who buys them clothes, cooks them dinner, educates them, keeps them safe, teaches them to be good citizens, NOT THE GOVERNMENT. When was the last time they stopped by and asked what my son’s favorite color was or how could they help him achieve his life goals faster? They have no business telling me or any other good parent, how to parent or go to jail when I have done nothing wrong to begin with. This is just their way of making parents breeders and them taking our kids and turning them into unthinking zombies to do menial tasks without question. People who question are a threat. So since I question what is in these mandatory vaccinations I have become a threat. I oppose aborted fetal tissue and metals getting pumped into my children because the government gets kickbacks when my children get a vaccination. I oppose it because GROSS that is so WRONG!!!

What about this idea.

To all my friends who are tired of hearing me talk about vaccines.

If you all sign the referendum to preserve parental choice and put this issue up for a public vote, I’ll quit posting about this. 1. just wanting to delay vaccinations-will not have a choice and 2.THE MAIN REASON – health for my children to be decided by me the one who birthed them along with my trusted physician- not by the government and big pharma. I want a choice to say no to a mandatory flu shot a choice to say no the chickenpox vaccine. A choice to provide them with nutrition and supplements to heal them when they have a cold or the flu. It is a privilege to be a parent and the government is trying to take that away. My children are not a number to me like they are to the government. They are my life. I live and breathe them. I demand a right to parent them and not let the CA government begin to strip me of my parental rights.

Stepping down off soap box now.

The project I am working on: MOPS!! I have been to a meeting with the other Mentor Moms and we are ready to go!! I am already lifting up my new table leader, that she will be inspired by the Lord this year. May He fill her with great joy this coming year! May she be a comfort and a blessing to all the girls at our new table. God is so good. He will place just the right girls together for us and I pray that she (the new table leader)  will be filled with wisdom and grace as this new adventure awaits us. May her life be blessed as she starts this ministry season.

Mood today: I am feeling anxious for some reason. I do not know why. Maybe because MOPS is starting soon? Maybe because I know I am going to get backlash from the whole supporting the repeal SB277 thing? I think not. That I am passionate about.  Off to put some calming oils on!!

What I am reading: Secrets of Natural Healing With Food: Wellness and Body Chemistry by Nancy Appleton

School Stuff: Let’s see, this week we have been just trying to focus in the sweaty heat. We have to get up early and start because it is to hot by 11:30 to do more than read for pleasure, take a nap or both!! We have been having fun learning about Gideon. Random bursts of “The Sword, of The Lord and Gideon!!” can be heard throughout the day, followed by giggles. Also in biology we have been studying hydras and medusas. You guessed it. We also have random bursts of “Hail Hydra!” since we are Marvel fans.

Picture to share: Someone is looking really patriotic!!

Morning Friend!

Good-Morning-Coffee-PinkToday is: Wednesday July 2

Outside is: Already muggy :( Weird weather…for here. It’s hot and stormy with lightning. We are used to hot and dry.

I can smell:My coffee. Would not be a spectacular morning without it!! I have the windows open and can smell the heat starting to surround the house…its gonna be a steamy one!

In the oven for dinner: It’s too hot for dinner. Maybe tuna and toast? With a green salad on the side? Sounds light and won’t make the house sweaty!

What I have been thinking about:  Ugh. I am not happy with the way the world has been spinning lately. Marriage, vaccines, obamacare (little o on purpose), children being abducted into sex slavery, flag controversy, gun control, police hatered, judges/governors feeling they are gods…CRAZY! Friday was the worst. I was sad, then mad, then okay, then hurt, then confused, then irritated, then okay again, then broken hearted, then flabbergasted, then disappointed, back to okay again, then the circle would repeat.  This is so biblical, what is going on. I just wish more people would open their eyes and see!! Jesus is coming and coming SOON!! Things are backwards. What is right is now considered wrong in the world and all things wrong are celebrated. I am disgusted at the way things are happening around me. Yes, this has all been around for longer than I have been alive. I realize that. I also study history by choice and see that all the changes that are going on have habitually happened at the decline of a nation.  Not just right now, but  for centuries past this has been true. I do not think that will change here. I think we are on a downward spiral that is getting faster and faster to a great implosion. Biblically predicted over 2000 years ago and right on target. My friends, get right with the Lord ASAP!!

The project I am working on: Getting my son ready for his MAA training in a few days. Do not be confused with MMA. He will be wrestling I am sure, but he is working for his Master At Arms.  I know he was excited because so many cadets wanted this training and he got it!!  He is bummed because his best buds did not, so they won’t be training together this summer. It is still going to be good for him though, make new friends and all. This being said, why is it a project for me? I have new patches to sew on his uniform before he goes out there, paperwork to find and take with us, pick up new clothing/shoes needed for camp, haircut for him before he leaves… I only have a few more days!!!

Mood today: I am contemplative.  The world I live in is not the world I am living for.  My heart is repeating this over and over. Jesus use me to serve You. I know You are coming soon!!

What I am reading: The Bible.

School Stuff: Kiddos, off for a few weeks!! One week just because, one week for VBS, two weeks for camp then back to the whole school she-bang!

Picture to share: Panda Express Sweet Fire Chicken!!!

095My daughter bought me dinner so I would not have to cook!!

Love that girl!!

Have a blessed day my friend!

Morning Friend!

Good-Morning-Coffee-PinkToday is: Wednesday, May 13

Outside is: Beautiful. The sun is cracking over the horizon painting shades of soft tangerine into the cloud covered morning.

I can smell:My coffee and my diffuser filled with drops of lemongrass. The spring colored sky inspired me to have spring scents wafting through my home this morning.

In the oven for dinner: We are having enchiladas. It is such an easy go to meal for me. I am about to start a crazy busy day and I can make these bad boys with my eyes closed :)

What I have been thinking about:  I am getting a little sad that MOPS is over.  I did not realize how much I really have come to love the girls at my table. They each have their own reason for coming and their own areas of needed growth. I was so blessed to be their Seasoned Mom. I love how God showed me how important being a Titus woman is.  I know I was there to help these girls grow. I feel my heart grew so much just being with them all. I love that I was not limited to just the girls from my table too. Other tables had INSPIRATIONAL women that I have the blessed privilege to now call my friends. Fabulous, brave women gathered to fellowship in the name of The Lord. That is what we have done and will continue to do so fiercely!!

The project I am working on: My son’s USNCC Division needed someone to step up and help with paperwork…Can’t let myself get bored or have time to just veg on the couch right? I am starting with 10 cadets, keeping their paperwork and orders up to date. Its not that much of a mental task as much as busy work. :)

Mood today: I am ready to clean out un-needed stuff. I suppose that means I am in a declutter mood? Clear out my house and my mind of unnecessary things and peace will prevail :)

What I am reading: I have a little book that I am grabbing in small moments to read and it is called: Who Calls Me Beautiful? Finding Our True Image in the Mirror of God by Regina Franklin.  It is really good. I just finished the Beauty By The Book bible study with Rebecca and some friends. It is by Laurie Cole and you can find it at Priority Ministries. It just follows the same ideas, that God made you beautiful. After having a baby, women have body issues with the new shape of themselves. This is just an affirmation book that your body did something incredible, God created it to do something amazing and it did! We need to stop looking at the media version of touched up perfection and refer biblically to our body’s beauty.

School Stuff: I am getting excited for next year!! Rebecca is going a different route than her older brother and sister. She is still going to homeschool. She is just taking different classes and is really becoming her own person in the process. I love it!! Jr is still on the path of serving our country. So we are doing as much as we can on that front. Lots of history, language and physical service for him next year. Belle is keeping me looking for fun things to plan to do! This year I want to take her to see and do more. I know her heart is to serve, just like her big sister. I am going to find more ways we can do that together :) This is going to be an super interesting year!!

Picture to share: My new favorite vintage store had this lovely item for sale over the weekend. No we did not bring it home.019

Lions and tigers and bears!! OH MY!!

This girl keeps life fun!! Love her!!

Remember to take time to stop and enjoy your cup of coffee today!!

Have a blessed day my friend!!

Morning Friend!

Good-Morning-Coffee-PinkToday is: Monday, April 6

Outside is: Beautiful. The sun is cracking over the horizon painting shades of soft tangerine through the quiet blue of the leaving night as the dark rain clouds start to roll in.

I can smell:My coffee. Today I added bit of cocoa to it to make a cheap mocha!! LOL!!

In the oven for dinner: We are having tortellini for dinner tonight. All that with a light salad, topped with hard boiled eggs, and some fruit. Yummy!!

What I have been thinking about:  I feel so blessed. I have a husband whom I love to the depths of my soul. I have children who amaze me with their thoughts and dreams, and then they go out there and accomplish them! I have a home, a full fridge, friends, ministry and so much more!! I am so thankful for it all. I am most thankful for my Savior. He has delivered me from darkness that surrounded me and held me captive in the waiting room for hell and blessed me in His goodness with all this and so much more! God is good all the time, and all the time, God is GOOD!!

The project I am working on: I am getting fabric together to start the girls making some baby quilts. Sewing Lessons for the girlies!! We are going to be working on them this summer again. I have been so blessed too!! I have a friend who has been giving me her left over fabrics! The fabric is absolutely perfect too!! They are all child oriented pink, blue and greens!! This year the quilts will be so much more friendly to my pocketbook!!

Mood today: I am pleasantly mellow at the moment. I am telling you Coffee, Young Living Essential Oils and a whole ton of Jesus make the world such a better place!!

What I am reading: Inner Transformations Using Essential Oils: Powerful Cleansing Protocols for Increase Energy and Better Health I am starting a cleanse with some of my girlies very soon. We are going to cheer each other on and see if we can get our bodies in the best health we can!! Spring is the time for new beginings!!

School Stuff: I am putting together some lessons about Israel right now. We are going to learn some of the geography of the area and types of people. I have a friend who just came back from there a month ago and has some amazing stories and pictures to share with us! We also just finished studying the Sader. I thought that was appropriate since we just had passover.

Morning Friend!

Good-Morning-Coffee-PinkToday is: Wednesday January 7

Outside is: Blue sky with wisps of clouds…its going to be 80 today…this is winter right?

I can smell:My coffee. Would not be a blogging day without it!!

In the oven for dinner: We are having beans and rice tonight. Trying to stay healthy, so lots of beans and soups right now!!

What I have been thinking about:  I was having my time with The Lord this morning, looking up at the stars in the dark sky. The moon was so incredibly bright, it blocked out so many of the stars from my sight. I still found my eyes searching for the stars in all the dark blue. The stars are still glowing and shining with all their glory. It reminded me again to be that bright light in the darkness of the world. Someone’s eyes may be searching for me, looking for their way and I need to be as bright in the light as I can be to lead them to the Master of all light, Jesus!

The project I am working on: I am prepping for my 25 hour classes this week!! So excited!! I have a few CARE classes to accomplish and I can’t wait!!

Mood today: EXCITED and a little sad. My conference classes are right in the middle of one of my daughter’s birthday. Ugh. So yes, I am really happy to be going farther with my education but a bit bummed that I will not have extra time with my girl.

What I am reading: Chemistry. Always Chemistry…Aside from that I still am working on a few bible studies. That keeps me grounded, so that is perfect. God first, then the rest of the stuff comes second. Oh and back to the beginning of my One Year Bible!!

School Stuff: Kiddos just started back on Monday. So we are back to the routine :) I have some new reading books for the kiddos to get into!! Becca is reading Through the Looking Glass now since she just finished Alice in Wonderland. Love the classics!! I am having her read them out loud for Belle to love too!! Oh and Michael just finished POLA for a whole week!! So he has a bit of an easy week from me. He is an official Petty Officer now!!
