Love the Lime

I love the citrus scents!!

They are just so clean and uplifting to my soul!! They brighten my day and get me moving!! Here is one of my favorites!  It is Young Living Lime Essential oil. If you’re feeling uninspired, try diffusing Lime oil for a bright, refreshing aroma that may clear a path to greater creativity. This quality also makes Lime a great choice for diffusing in classrooms and children’s play areas. Lime can also support radiant skin! Try adding a couple of drops to your favorite nighttime moisturizer for healthier-looking skin. Because Lime is a citrus oil, it may cause photosensitivity, so be sure to avoid applying it to exposed skin before spending time in the sun.

Here is a recipe a friend sent me for a summery sugar scrub. On these cold days of winter it can be kind of nice to remember the warm!!

Lime Coconut Sugar Scrub
¼ cup coconut oil
1½ cups granulated sugar
10 drops Lime essential oil
~Place the coconut oil, if it is in the solid state, in a small saucepan and melt over low heat.
~Once melted, take the liquid coconut oil off the heat and let cool for a few minutes before adding in the granulated sugar. Stir well.
~Add in the lime essential oil and mix well.
~Use scrub to gently exfoliate skin and then rinse skin clean with warm water.
Massage in oils left on skin for a soft, silky finish.
*If you like your scrub to be more grainy add more sugar.
**The higher oil to sugar ratio the more the scrub will solidify but do not worry, it will loosen up in a warm bathroom!
***Always use a scoop or clean hands when using any scrub to reduce the chance of bacterial growth

****You may store at room temperature in an air tight container for up to 3 months!!
