Testing is Over…YAY!!!

Oh wow has life been crazy busy!!

We had testing. Our homeschool PSP does Terra Nova testing every year. Last week was our week to be testing :)

I had volunteered for hospitality. I love helping in the kitchens!! Something about serving in that aspect is just uplifting to me. I love to share love through good food. This was the perfect avenue to share that love.

The girls felt that testing was fairly easy.

Really, I know they have learned a ton this year. I hope it shows at least a little on paper though!! Ha ha ha!!

We also have yearbook pictures taken during that time too.

I only have a picture of the boy’s class. I was in the kitchen for the girls taking care of dishes and such.

Can’t wait to see how the professional picture turns out!!

I swear this is the smallest class!!  Still a group of some wonderful kiddos!!

I did take some time this past week to just get caught up with life.

I took so much stuff to the thrift store!! They were really happy to get all the items too. I filled the back of my van and had some boxes of stuff under the kids feet in the middle . It felt so good to purge out all the excess. I know my husband would love if I would purge more, but I will save that adventure for another weekend!

I also got to attend a really neat Make and Take event from my Young Living uplines. I went with my precious Rebecca :)

We were there with some great friends too!!

My two favorite Sarah’s and their daughters came and shared the fun with us. We made season salts, sachets, cleaning spray, bath and body scrub and the favorite of the girls was the chocolate cinnamon strawberries!

Everything had Young Living Essential Oils in them. Very cool!! I think I should post some of the stuff we made and how we made them later. We already have the oils and we love to make gifts, so to me this is a no brainer! I will share some of our creations when we make them :)

Just getting ready to get our weekend of crazy busy started soon too.

I hope you all have an amazingly blessed weekend with so much joy and love!!

We Went “Egging” …just before Resurrection day

I am that momma.

I am giving out the truth of what I taught my kiddos to do.

I have taught them that at Easter time, our family  goes out and eggs friends houses.

You read that right.

I am a firm believer in egging your friends houses,

especially those with little kiddos.

So while my friends were supposed to be out and about, we egged them.

We prepped the night before…

088cute right?

Ever so quietly, we hid eggs in their yards.

103 104 105 107We left a basket for them at their front door to start the hunt,

gave them a call to let them know “we thought we saw a bunny in their yard?”

Then let the joy begin!!

Here is what the paper says:

You’ve been egged!

We hid 12 eggs in your yard. Enjoy the hunt, but don’t be discouraged when you find the empty egg. Just remember that Christ died for us and that He lived again. Just like the Egg.

We started this tradition a few years back.

It keeps Christ in the fun and it is good to bless others with joy.

Feel free to copy us and “egg” your favorite families too!!

Morning Friend!

Good-Morning-Coffee-PinkToday is: Monday, April 6

Outside is: Beautiful. The sun is cracking over the horizon painting shades of soft tangerine through the quiet blue of the leaving night as the dark rain clouds start to roll in.

I can smell:My coffee. Today I added bit of cocoa to it to make a cheap mocha!! LOL!!

In the oven for dinner: We are having tortellini for dinner tonight. All that with a light salad, topped with hard boiled eggs, and some fruit. Yummy!!

What I have been thinking about:  I feel so blessed. I have a husband whom I love to the depths of my soul. I have children who amaze me with their thoughts and dreams, and then they go out there and accomplish them! I have a home, a full fridge, friends, ministry and so much more!! I am so thankful for it all. I am most thankful for my Savior. He has delivered me from darkness that surrounded me and held me captive in the waiting room for hell and blessed me in His goodness with all this and so much more! God is good all the time, and all the time, God is GOOD!!

The project I am working on: I am getting fabric together to start the girls making some baby quilts. Sewing Lessons for the girlies!! We are going to be working on them this summer again. I have been so blessed too!! I have a friend who has been giving me her left over fabrics! The fabric is absolutely perfect too!! They are all child oriented pink, blue and greens!! This year the quilts will be so much more friendly to my pocketbook!!

Mood today: I am pleasantly mellow at the moment. I am telling you Coffee, Young Living Essential Oils and a whole ton of Jesus make the world such a better place!!

What I am reading: Inner Transformations Using Essential Oils: Powerful Cleansing Protocols for Increase Energy and Better Health I am starting a cleanse with some of my girlies very soon. We are going to cheer each other on and see if we can get our bodies in the best health we can!! Spring is the time for new beginings!!

School Stuff: I am putting together some lessons about Israel right now. We are going to learn some of the geography of the area and types of people. I have a friend who just came back from there a month ago and has some amazing stories and pictures to share with us! We also just finished studying the Sader. I thought that was appropriate since we just had passover.

Picture to share: My baby girl’s new favorite shirt from #TT&Twins !!

Celebrating Easter Yes or No?

Do you celebrate Easter?

I have been hearing many peoples different take on Easter. Some people I love and respect very much have chosen to not celebrate this year. They believe that this is a pagan holiday that is exploited by the catholic church(who altered our calendars) and the party industry(who are just wanting to make more money). I see where they are coming from. If we acknowledge that Jesus died on Friday, good Friday, then was dead on Saturday and rose on Sunday…then He was only dead a day and a half not the 3 days that was prophesied.  Also the Sabbath is actually Friday sunset to Saturday sunset not Sunday as many of us have been wrongly taught. You only see the Jewish and the Seventh Day Adventist actually  still following that beautiful biblical truth. So to these precious friends, this is an offense to The Lord.

I get the logic.

I understand their feeling that they are insulting God by celebrating incorrectly.

I do know that is says in Daniel 9:27 in the NIV :

He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ He will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple He will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on Him.”

“Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered Him, saying, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.” But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation craves for a sign; yet no sign shall be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet. For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the fish; so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” Matthew 12:38-40

So yes, they are right. He died on Wednesday and rose 3 days later! I see it in the Bible!!

Let me throw this idea out there though, that I am going with and choose to follow.

My Savior died for me. He rose again 3 days later and I should celebrate that every single day the King of Kings gives me breath in my lungs!! I should not just whiddle it down to one single day marked on the calender that man has picked to use for acknowledgement of His sacrifice for me and His miracle of life everlasting! If I do not praise Him daily, then I personally am not giving Him the honor and respect and worship that only He deserves.

That being said, I worship my Savior every single day, BUT I am going to celebrate on Easter Sunday as well. I am going to use this time to put out a cross in my window, hang signs that say “He is RISEN” and make Resurrection biscuits. I am going to see if my non believing friends want to go to church with me and hear the amazing message that Jesus Christ has died and rose again! I am going to use this time of bunnies and plastic eggs to share the word of the Lord with others! I am going to rejoice LOUDLY with others on this day we call Easter, that our Savior is ALIVE!!  I am part of this world that man has corrupted and luckily  has a small bit of Jesus still not completely destroyed.  I am going to be part of that small bit and I am going to help make it SHINE!!! Maybe my light on that day, my words and/or my actions will change another’s heart and bring them into His loving arms :)

Yes, I realize I can and should do this every day as well. I do to an extent. I am always professing my love for God. I have my decorations that are out daily and my clothing choices that share His ministry across my chest. I am just choosing to make this day an extra “burst” of Jesus love! Random people are more accepting of my sharing of His Word at this time. So I am totally gonna use it!! All for His glory!!

If you choose to celebrate or not, I respect your choice. Either way I just pray that you choose the most important choice:

Precious Tea Get Together

My younger girls and I were invited to the most wonderful tea.

This beautiful young lady whom we love dearly hosted this event.

She was so excited to have gotten her own set of china!!

056She made us a wonderful array of sandwiches, chicken, pb&j, egg salad and more!!

058She even made us salads! Here is the fruit salad she made us.

059She then had us adjourn into the living room where we had a little game of “how well do you know your mother/daughter.”

It was really fun!! She had questions like: What is your mom’s favorite essential oil? What is your mom’s favorite television show? What is your daughter’s favorite movie?

Then we had a dance off!! Plugged in the connect and away we danced!!

We had dessert after. Look at her display for us!!

057 This is the age of Instagram!! So photo session was next on the list!!

Our girls are so funny!!
