Getting Ready for Graduation Celebration

Rebecca and I have been really busy getting ready for

Aimee’s High School graduation.

We have been planning for months how to do this on a budget

but classy.

Here are some of the things we have been working on.

We went shopping at the local vintage store and bought 2 punch bowl with cups.

Forgive the big red box behind them. This is just what I brought them home in.

057 058

They were $12 each set but for some reason one set was on sale for 50% off!

I have some white linen for the tables we rented.

To rent linen it is $8 a table.

I found this one for just under $7 and I can keep it or toss it and it is still cheaper than renting.

We found this beautiful glass plate for $2.

Dollar tree had this candle stick for $1.

Glued them together and I have a beautiful cake stand for $3.

Much better than the $30 ones I have been looking at!!

063We looked at party bunting at Etsy.

Oh they have such pretty stuff there!

I found some that were pretty but the wrong colors,

and way to expensive.

They wanted $31.75 a banner.

Rebecca and I made our own.

075$5 for the paper pack,$2.49 for 8x 11 sheets of paper, $6 for stickers (four rhinestone number stickers), $2 for the ribbon, $2 for the lace, $2 for the flowers (with my 40% off coupon) comes to at total of $19.49 for 3 custom banners!!!

We started out cutting all the paper pieces and lining them up.

073 074

Then sewed them on to the ribbon.076 077

Before you knew it we had a garland of triangles!078 079Now to add the embellishments.

086 088 I am liking this!

Okay here is the big banner for our centerpiece.

080Rebecca made this one all by herself.

She is amazing!

Now that our banner is done we had to work on the centerpiece.

Found this one at one of our favorite shops.

Treasures and Junk!

It does not look like much now but it will.

090 094 095The girls are painting this a beautiful cream.

Okay pictures are done. Put your masks back on!!

Can’t wait to see the finished product!!

The Baby Shower

Remember the cute blanket and matching stuff I made for

the shower I was going to?

Well here are some pictures from the event.

008 009

They got tons of stuff!!!

My niece made this cake!

She is so talented!!

012 013 014 017 019

Belle won the game!!

Look at all the necklaces she got from people for saying the word “cute”.

Okay they are opening the gift…021

She is asking “did you make this for me? These are my favorites! Damask and pink!”022

She likes it :)

My niece made these cake balls too!

I am telling you she should be a baker and open her own shop!!

024They were delicious!!!

The kids got blessed with diapers, clothes and baby items.

It was great to see and be a part of.

Now if only that little cutie would come out and meet us!!

Posing a Question

Here is something I have been thinking about.

When I was a little kid, I was one of the first from a divorced family.

It was looked at as something that “had” to be accepted.

Then when I got older babies out of wedlock became common and “had” to be accepted.

People did not seem to get married anymore, they just played at it.  Tried it out but never tried the commitment part of it. Still “had” to accept that lifestyle.

Homosexual lifestyle has become something that “has” to be accepted.

It is more prevalent on television than heterosexual couples it seems like.

It’s like the new accessory or something.

Everyone has to have their “gay friend”.

I have seen people try and ‘one up’ each other with same sex partners even though they have a relationship with someone of a different sex (isn’t that called cheating!!!)

and now its moving up to partners who are pan sexual?

Talk about Sodom and Gomorrah!

Now please understand I am not condemning anyone in any of these situations. These are all apart of my life in some way shape and form. People I love live by these standards. I do not have to approve of any of these choices to love others just as they do not have to approve of mine.

What I am having a problem with is, I now am seeing that the new “has to be accepted” seems to be the slamming of Christians.

So this is my question.

Why is this?

Because some people choose to follow the Word of God from a book that has only proven to be true for thousands of years and to believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins so that we could be forgiven and saved, because of this it is okay to persecute us?

It is okay to come to a country that was founded on the belief in one true God and now yell and scream and stomp your feet, to have that basis for this country put away shamefully?

America was begun as a place of refuge for those who believed in Jesus as our Savior.

Do your research before coming to a country that believes God is above all things if it bothers you so much.

Do not come here and change my country with your baby antics, acting like a toddler having a tantrum about your rights being infringed upon! Having the audacity to complain that people here who worship God through the Christian faith bother you and you should not have to hear them honor and praise their Lord. Then go back to what ever rock you crawled out from that was so much better than being here in America! This is a Christian country and I am tired of the Christians having to give up everything for those who have a different faith or a so called lack of faith. I do not ask you to disrespect your faith because it is different than mine. Nor do I try to change laws so that your faith or lack of it would be unwelcomed any where.  If I could not stand speaking English anymore I could move to another country where they spoke a different language. Why would I stay here and just complain about the language? Run around condemning everyone who spoke English around me?? Starting big campaigns to have English taken out of our schools and such.  How ridiculous would I look? That is how I see what is going on right now.

Does anyone else?

Again I ask “why is this behavior and treatment of Christians okay?”

I will refer to the Bible on this:

10Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Matthew 5:10-12

I think the book of Luke chapter 21 has some great words on this as well.  Here is the most appropriate.

12 “But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you. They will hand you over to synagogues and put you in prison, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name. 13 And so you will bear testimony to me. 14 But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. 15 For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. 16 You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers and sisters, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death. 17 Everyone will hate you because of me. 18 But not a hair of your head will perish. 19 Stand firm, and you will win life.

Luke 21:12-19

I am posting because of this verse:

“And He ordered us to preach to the people, and solemnly to testify that this is the One who has been appointed by God as Judge of the living and the dead.”

Acts 10:42

So I am testifying that even if it is the new “thing” to persecute Christians for their belief in the Lord Jesus Christ, I am and always will be a Christian. I believe that Jesus died on the cross not only for me but for all who will accept Him. I believe that the Bible is inspired by God in its entirety, and is without error in the original autographs, a complete and final written revelation from God. I believe that there is only one God, who is eternal and immutable, and manifests Himself in three distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the promised Messiah , born of a virgin, totally without sin , God in human flesh  the One Who died on the cross for our sins , was buried , rose again from the dead on the third day , and ascended to the right hand of the Father in heaven, where He now intercedes for us who believe in Him. I believe that Jesus Christ is going to return in the clouds for His church before the tribulation that is coming upon the whole earth , and that He will return with His saints and all His holy angels to the earth at the end of the tribulation, and set up His kingdom on earth, ruling and reigning forever and ever. I believe in a real/literal devil, called Satan, who, along with all his fallen angels, demons, and evil spirits, are destined to spend eternity in hell, and now seek to deceive the world, defeat the believers, and destroy the work of God, but can be resisted by believers, who are protected by God, the Holy Spirit and the intercession of Jesus Christ our Lord. I believe that all humanity is lost and born with a sinful nature, and can only be saved by a personal faith in the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, and not by any human merit or performance. I believe that heaven is a real place where the saved will dwell forever, and that hell is a literal place of torment where unbelievers will suffer forever. I believe that genuine believers are born again by the Holy Spirit of God, and are indwelt, baptized into the body of Christ, the true church, and sealed by the Holy Spirit, and thus, unable to be separated from the love of Jesus Christ. I believe in the spiritual unity of all genuine believers in the Lord Jesus Christ which is manifested by the spiritual gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit’s presence through His love. I believe that all believers need to be filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live a godly life and to be bold in our witness for the Lord. I believe that the nation of Israel has a special place in God’s plan, and that all of the promises of God to Israel will be fulfilled both now and in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ in His millennium!!

What Aimee Gave Me

When Mother’s Day came remember that Aimee had been bummed that the gift she had purchased for me online had not arrived yet? Then a few more days and it had not come.

I am one super blessed woman.

Rebecca Had a Sleep-over

Rebecca had her oldest friend come over and spend the night the other night.

I love these two girls!!

They bring out the best in each other.

The best part is our families get along too.

This means that the girls don’t usually have time just the two of them though.

So this sleep-over that was just for the two of them was so wonderful.

We started it at a taco place, tasting tacos for Aimee’s graduation get-to-gather.

We are talking rice, beans, chips, chili and 2 kinds of tacos!!

Then I told they they each had $10 to spend at our local vintage store and to see what they could find.

I would be there to, but shopping with Belle.

We did our own $10 shopping!!

We were there almost 2 hours!!

These are some great shoppers!!

029The picture is orange, I know.

The camera was dying.

You can see that Rebecca got a purse that is practically brand new and a super cute beret!

040Its brown and super adorable on her!!

Belle got…

028…a skirt, a shirt and a new dress.

Then the camera died and I did not get the friend’s outfit.

I did get my little one to model her outfits later though!

034 039She loves her finds too!!

Then the girls made sleep shirts for themselves.

043 042 041 I love them!!

I should have had them make me one too!!

We brought in our favorite pizza.

037Grabbed some Snapple and movies to settle in for the evening.

038 035Those girls are so good they even went to sleep not overly late!

So when they got up I made them

044apple cinnamon pancakes.

I can’t wait for the girls to have another sleep-over!!

We Were There!!!

Cities4Life kick-offThis is what we did this past Friday.

It was incredible!!

My daughter was the official photographer!!

We got there early. I helped with set up. There were so many there that wanted to help there was not that much to do. Aimee started taking pictures. While we were setting up the pastors were having a dinner in the next room. She got to take pictures of so many wonderful people! My favorite was Lisa Metzger!! She is awesome!! I have been reading her blog a 2nd Generation of Homeschooling   for a while and love it!! Finally got to meet her in person!! I just love all the work she does!! Tried to not be a total goof when I met her…well I tried!!

The event had speeches from Pastor Jack Hibbs, Pastor Dean from Grace Church, Ray Comfort, Rachele Flores, Elise Haro (amazing woman!!) and Dave Benham. It was really a call to action.

Here is one of the cute videos they played.

Just click the link below, its funny but makes a good point.

Who Will Answer the Call?

Kind of put everything into perspective.

They then asked everyone to meet the next day at a Planned Parenthood.

Here is what happened by 9:30 am the next day.

070 023 066 028 105 075 137 020 094 132 138 041 012Love to be able to say that I was there,

with all these wonderful people that want to help others realize that babies are such a blessing!!

It was a quiet event.

People on both sides of the street praying, singing and offering free assistance to any who would receive it.

There were those women who would not change their minds.

They chose to kill their little gifts from God that day.

One girl will haunt me forever.

She was brought in by her Dad.

When the murder had been completed the girl, not even in her own clothes, her lower half wrapped in a beach towel, she could  not even walk out by herself. She was staggering with help from one of the planned parenthood workers on one side and her father on the other side. She was not doing well. I have seen many girls leave there and this girl was the worst I have seen myself. Her father lifted her into the SUV they arrived in. She laid back in the seat… crying. One of the men from Cities4Life pleaded LOUDLY with the father “This is not normal sir!! Please take her to a real doctor immediately!! Sir, save your daughter!! This is not normal!! She is more than broken. Please sir! Let us call 911!! Please Sir!! Please!! Sir, this is NOT NORMAL!! Some thing is terribly wrong! Please take her to a hospital immediately! Sir Please!!” We are not allowed on the property. They were in the parking lot. All we could do was plead and pray. The father got into his SUV calmly and drove away at a safe pace. Friends tried to follow out asking if they could help her and to please go to the hospital. Called out as she left “We are here for you when you need us!”

We have no idea if he took her to the hospital.

We have no idea if she is okay…physically.

I felt so helpless.

All I could do was watch and pray.

I just wanted to comfort her.

Be there for her.

She was obviously so broken.

Jesus, You are the only one who can heal her now.

Girls like that one are the reason I go out to the sidewalk.

Girls like that are one of the reasons for Cities4Life.

This organization is there for conception, decision to adopt or parent, parenting skills, healing those who chose the abortion.

This is to real everyday.

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.~ Matthew 18:6

And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.~ Mark 9:42

but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. ~ Matthew 18:6

I think the Lord has made it clear how he feels about people telling lies to others about a baby being a blob of flesh and that the murderous ripping of a small child to pieces is just a procedure.
