Til Next School Year Ladies

We have been finishing up so many of our group adventures these last two weeks. You would think that means that we have tons of free time ahead of us but it seems like all the empty spots just keep filling right back up with other joyous things for us to do!!

I was blessed to be able to have a goodbye breakfast potluck for one of my bible studies.

This is my homeschool momma’s bible study group.

This is just the beginning of all the food that was brought and shared!! It was so yummy and every dish was created (or bought) with love :) I must have gained 5 pounds just sampling a little of everything!! My teens and my friend brought her teens, and there was food left over!! That is how abundantly blessed the morning breakfast was!! Thank You Jesus!!

We all love to encourage each other so much in the Lord that we never even got past prayer and munchies!!

So much for planning next year’s bible study!! Ha ha ha!!

Tea and Scones for Teens

Rebecca and her friends learned how to have a proper tea at church the other day.

It was so lovely!

The girls had to learn everything from setting the tables to making the food.

Here up above they are learning how to make scones :)

Yummy!!

They had to learn how to make proper tea sandwiches too.

How to set a serving plate full of cookies…

…then place them on the serving holders…

…how to set the table…

…finally how to properly serve and drink the tea.

Such a lovely group of girls! They did an amazing job too!!

I know in today’s society this might not sound very important.Kids are more interested in what stars are wearing and dating than proper manners. Thank goodness a few of us still feel this is a right of passage and a gift to know how to be a proper hostess! Thank you Ms Linda for taking the time to teach the girls etiquette! These are going to be some amazing Proverbs women taught by some lovely Titus wives!!

She is Another Year Older

My little girl is growing up!

Just a few years ago,

Look how cute my little girl was!!

So happy and cheerful to have around…

Such a joy she has been to us!!

Growing into a more Godly young woman every single day.

You surround yourself with good Godly friends too.

You are wise beyond your years.

Your a princess of the most High God!

It was a pleasure to get to surprise you with some happiness on the anniversary of the day you took your first breath and I got to hold you for the first time in my arms though you have always been in my heart sweet girl.

Christmas Stuff

I was so busy I did not have a chance to post anything from CHRISTmas!!

Can you believe how quick time went? Wow.

Here is a picture of my girl in her new shirt from TT& Twins :)

She loves it!! She wears it often!!

Then she and her sister also got these…

Yes, they were spoiled :)

The boy got a training and new uniform (pictures of that later)

and the oldest got new jammies and a new purse.

She will not allow pictures in the jammies on the internet, LOL!!!

Belle also got another one of her favorites…

This is a horse stable set with a food court.

It is so cute!!

The Lego girls can even do tricks on the Lego horses!!

Whoo hoo!!

We took the kiddos to see the lights up the hill. Some of the houses are amazing!

We made little houses, as our family tradition dictates.

Yes, that is a ton of sugar!!

They had fun making (& eating) them though!!

Most important, we celebrated Jesus birthday :)

He is the reason for everything!

~This recipe was created during a time when God was redirecting us (course correction)… During a time when my family did not have a home of our own… We all lived in one room, but during that time we prospered and grew strong as a family… greater than three strands~
“Build houses and dwell in them; plant gardens and eat their fruit.” Jeremiah 29:5

Ingredients:

2 7oz. Packets of Sun Maid Tropical Trio
1 1/2 cups of Pecans
2 1/2 cups of Flour
1 1/2 teaspoons of Baking Soda
3/4 cup of White Granulated Sugar
1 heaping cup of Golden Brown Sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) of Cold Salted Butter
2 Egg Whites
3 Egg Yolks
1 1/2 Tablespoons of Real Vanilla Extract

Sweet Glaze Topping:

1 14oz. can of Condensed Milk
1/2 a stick of Salted Butter
1/2 Tablespoon of Real Vanilla Extract

Went Out With The Girls

Not, actually my girls, but my MOPS girls.

MOPS is Mothers Of Pre Schoolers. I am a Mentor Mom. That means I have been married for a LONG time to the same incredible man and have at least one kiddo graduated, so I might have some advice, hopefully good, to help these girls with raising their little angels. I wish I had been in a MOPS group when I had my first born! That would have been such a blessing!!

Okay, let me get back to my life snippet…

We all met up at one of the area hot spots for coffee and tea.

We are such rebels, most people get together in the evening to hang out. Not us!! We met in the morning, kiddos in tow, had us some hot beverages and fellowship!! Whoo hoo!!

Totally check out the stylin sippy cup in the shot there!!

Ha ha ha!!

It was so nice though really.

The coffee shop is just amazing!! The barristas are crazy coffee artists!!

Just because I love how much work the girl took and how pretty my coffee was, here is another picture.

Here is my mocha.

Makes me want another one!!

The rich coffee topped with the cooling foam…how they make those designs is just…I don’t think I have the patience.

It was so lovely though.

The fellowship that followed was so needed.

My table this year is filled with amazing women.

These girls are precious.

They all have beautiful children that they have been blessed with and are incredible mothers.

Our theme is “Be You Bravely.” These women are doing that every single day.

I know that I am there to Mentor them, but I think they give me so much more than I give them. They are like the little sisters that I wish I had.

Lord,

I thank you for each and every one of those young women.

I see You working in each of their lives in such different ways.

You have each one working in such a myriad of situations, yet all of the goals are the same,

to please and honor You.

I thank You again Lord for the blessing of getting to be around these incredible ladies. Thank You for trusting me with their hearts.

I pray Lord, that You will give me the wisdom and the words that only You can, to help direct their paths. May I be the person that they need me to be.

They have blessed me already, and I thank You for them.

May their homes be filled with joy and be blessed by You this holiday season.

May we all honor You in all we do.

I love you Lord.

Fellowship Night

So much fun the other night!!

I went to my friend Maria’s house.

She had invited a few of us over to just fellowship and try something new!

It was just a girls night :)

How sweet right?

When we got there she had these amazing treats for us!!

Home made Chia Pudding with raspberries and

home made scones!!

Oh they were just sinfully delicious!!

She is so cute, she had the whole evening planned for us!

We had our snacks then moved over to her “work area” for us.

We were making cards!

She had this neat stuff called Miskit.

It is like a clear gummy glue?

So we had to paint the blank cards with the clear Miskit freehand. It was kinda hard because we had no idea what we were doing.

We had never used or heard of this stuff before, so it was kinda fun!!

Then when it had dried we got to watercolor over the Miskit and just have fun painting :)

Then we waited for that to dry too.

Then we rubbed the Miskit off.

It left the paper under the Miskit clean and clear!!

Uber cool right?!?

Oh my gosh!! We had so much fun!!

I can’t wait to try this with my girls!!

Wonder if we should do these for CHRISTmas??

Boy Fun

We have to have some fun for the boy before school is back in session.

We started with an indoor warehouse that does air softing.

He took a friend and they played for hours!!

Then we took him the other day to his FAVORITE air soft field!!

Look at him, walking around all cool. He knows this is where he belongs.

The weather was behaving too.

There were supposed to be thundershowers with lightning.

Never happened, thank goodness!

Here he is loading up his gun and getting ready for the next round.

All these boys are just like him.

They talk the same, walk the same, comment the same, everything!!

Except for……that one boy who has to stand out!

Whatever.

Dude, the camo is not working.

You are a big pink target instead of blending in!!

Here are the rest of the boys all getting instructions and separating into teams.

Then off they go!

Love this playing field!!

I remember playing with even finger guns just running around the babysitter’s backyard shooting at each other.

We would yell, “I shot you!! You are dead!!”

Then your friend either died a dramatic fake death or yelled back at you that “No,” they were not dead!! You are a terrible shot and missed them by a mile!!

Nope, now it is more intense!!
